Chandrasekhar Subrahmanyan science definition

Indian-born American astrophysicist who studied the physical processes surrounding the structure and evolution of stars, and determined the limit (now named for him) regarding the growth of white dwarfs. For this work, he received (jointly with American physicist William Fowler) the 1983 Nobel Prize for physics.
