isallobar science definition

A line on a weather map connecting places having equal changes in atmospheric pressure within a given period of time. Isallobars measure pressure tendency, a value that describes both the difference in barometric pressure at the beginning and end of a given time period as well as the pattern—falling, rising, or steady—of pressure change.
